Description

The Inverse jacket is one of the lightest down jackets in the world, weighing in at only 180 g and fitting in the hand when packed into a pouch. It can be used individually as a warm, windproof jacket for autumn and winter, but it also works well as an insulating layer that we can put on or take off, as required. Its size and weight ensures it always fits in our backpack. Despite its minimalistic design, Inverse has two side pockets and a chest pocket.

Cumulus is now 27 years old. Such a long experience gives us great confidence when we say that Pertex fabric is the best raw material available in the market. Pertex enables us to fulfill our dream of a combination of seemingly conflicting values: the incredible lightness of the product and its extraordinary strength. This great durability of Pertex fabrics has allowed us to provide a 10 year guarantee on most of our products. At this point, we use the four types of Pertex which we describe below.

Pertex Quantum

Our favorite fabric we use in most products. It connects us what is most important: low weight, strong durability and high breathability. Extremely soft and pleasant to touch, and of a surprising strength: we do not get literally any complaints related to the sustainability of Quantum, which we use for over 10 years.

Features:
– Very low weight: 27 or 35 g/m² (using two varieties)
– Excellent breathability
– Full DWR coating
– Downproof
– Windproof

Toray AirTastic

The real miracle! The lightest downproof fabric as we know. For now, we use it in the lightest sleeping bags, but our plans are much bigger. This fabric is present in the market for a few years and has already proved its durability, although is like silk in touch. It breathes perfectly and it is completely windproof.

Features:
– Very low weight: 20 g/m²
– Excellent breathability
– Full DWR coating
– Downproof
– Windproof
– The best compressing fabric in the world
– Extremely pleasant to the touch

Pertex Endurance

Fantastic product! Waterproof fabric with a thin membrane. Its biggest advantage is the extremely high breathability, compared to a thick membrane. It is an ideal material when you require a higher resistance to condensing moisture without losing the smooth discharge of water vapor from the body to the outside. It is perfect as a top coat of down jackets and sleeping bags, greatly increasing their resistance to water.

Features:
– Very low weight: 36 or 44 g/m² (using two varieties)
– A thin membrane with a weight of approximately 1 g / m²
– Full DWR coating
– Water resistance of 1000 mm
– High breathability compared to thick membranes
– Downproof
– Windproof

Pertex Microlight

Thick fabric, practically unbreakable. We use it in heavier expedition sleeping bags to ensure their durability and longevity. It breathes just as well as the Quantum and Quantum GL.

Features:
– Weight: 55 g/m²
– Excellent breathability
– Exceptional durability
– Full DWR coating
– Downproof
– Windproof
