Refurbished Bikes

Bikes refurbished through the SPIN Project are sold at minimal cost on a ‘pay what you can’ basis — the aim of the project is to make safe bikes more accessible for all, and all proceeds go to cover the common parts needed to refurbish more bikes in future, e.g. tyres, cables, brake pads.

‘Pay What you Can’

£25 — covers the cost of some replacement parts: cables, housing, grips.

£50 — covers the full cost of parts for the average refurbished bike: cables, housing, grips, saddle, tyres.

£75 — covers the full cost of replacement parts, and ‘pays it forward’ to cover some of the cost of the next bike.

n.b. Occasionally, individual bikes will be sold at a higher price to reflect their higher value (these sales will subsidise future bikes to keep costs lower).
