The custom lab is aimed at that boater that knows exactly what they want and now you’re going to get it. Some might say ‘cake and eat it’ or ‘boat and float it’.

I’ve been boating for 20 years, Ten of those in packrafts, from Whitewater fun to remote backcountry sufferfests. Other members of the BC team have bike rafted in far flung corners of our beautiful planet, from Greenland to the Outer Hebrides.

There’s nothing more we would like to do than to chat about your packrafting hopes and dreams, or be your sound board for a crackpot boat modifcation. We want to help you get it right first time. We cut and build each custom Alpacka Raft to order in our Mancos, Colorado factory.

How To Order: (1) Choose your model below and click to download the Custom Worksheet; (2) Use the Custom Worksheet to build your Dream Packraft; (3) Email your completed Custom Worksheet to Shop@backcountry.scot; (4) Our experts will email you an invoice with a payment link. The build process begins when your order is paid; (5) Start planning adventures. Custom Lab packrafts are built in small batches and lead times vary, but may take up to 10-12 weeks from payment to shipment.
