Evening Workshop

This evening workshop looks at pad replacement, brake setup, brake bleeding and troubleshooting. Using our demo kits, we’ll look at bleed procedures for Shimano, Sram and Hope brakes, including MTB and drop-bar levers.

Join us for this hands-on introduction to maintaining and servicing hydraulic disc brakes, based from our workshop classroom in Aviemore. We provide the space, tools and equipment; all you need is a desire to learn. We’ll help you to build your knowledge and skills on a system-by-system basis, to the point where you can perform a range of common maintenance jobs, including basic replacement parts. Led by an experienced professional mechanic, our new workshop setting allows us to make use of demonstrations and practical exercises, because hands-on learning is always best!

Course info

• The course will run from 1800 through to approximately 2030 in the evening. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to allow us to get started promptly.
• There is no need to bring your own bike! We have our own pre-rigged jigs to show different bleed processes. This can be a better way to get acquainted with unfamiliar procedures, but if you would like to work on your own brakes please get in touch to let us know which brake system you’re using and to help us to accommodate you.

As with all our courses, we provide full refunds in the event of cancellation due to local or national restrictions, illness or the need to self-isolate.
